BRITISH

What could be simpler. Skilled makers and manufacturers in the UK need our support and patronage. Keeping it at home ensures carbon reduction within the manufacturing process and supports UK designers, workers and factories who operate under strict European health, safety, minimum wage and employment laws. Help boost local and rural economies at home. Buy British with pride.

FAIRTRADE

The products are produced under fair trade principles with designers and manufacturers working hard to ensure that employees are not exploited, are paid fairly, and often their mission is to improve the livelihoods and wellbeing of more disadvantaged communities. Some companies invest in the development of local communities where the product is manufactured. This could be by assisting in education, building of infrastructure, demanding adequate health and safety standards, as well as paying fair prices.

ORGANIC

Products made from, or containing a large proportion of organic raw materials. These are free from non-natural pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, and fertilisers. Everything we stock is as natural as possible and already certified by an organic certification body or the supplier is often working towards organic certification.

SUSTAINABLE

Materials used in the manufacture of goods are sourced from a sustainable resource. For instance soy wax is sourced from a renewable and sustainable source or wood is harvested from sustainable FSC managed forests.

HANDMADE

Seeking out hand crafted items that you can't find on the high street is a way to inject a little uniqueness and individuality into your life and your wedding day, so we source from, and work with creative and exciting designers to bring you those very special, gorgeous one-offs that only a skilled craftsman or artist can produce. A lot of the hand made product you find on GreenUnion are exclusive to us.

RECYCLED

Products are made, or partially made from recycled materials, or vintage materials which are being recycled for another life. As all products are delivered to you directly from our partner suppliers we have no control as to what packaging material they use, other than to make suggestions. But we encourage them to minimize the use of packaging materials so you will most likely find that your purchases will arrive in recycled and reused packaging material wherever possible.
